At 15,  Jack White began a three-year upholstery apprenticeship with a family friend, Brian Muldoon. White later started a one-man business of his own, Third Man Upholstery. The slogan of his business was “Your Furniture’s Not Dead” and the color scheme was yellow and black —including a yellow van, a yellow-and-black uniform, and a yellow clipboard. Although Third Man Upholstery never lacked business, White claims that it was unprofitable, because of his complacency about money and his business practices that were perceived as unprofessional, including making bills out in crayon and writing poetry inside the furniture.

The Resonars – Way Way Way Way Out (1 play)

the resonars way way way way out

tree house + diner= why did no one think of this before?

“Naha Harbor Diner sits perfectly on top of a massive Gajumaru, Japan, tree’s huge branches about 20 ft above the ground and looking out over the ocean.
The restaurant which is accessible by both a spiral stairway and an inbuilt tree trunk elevator specializes in locally grown and organically harvested foods brought straightaway from the farms. It dishes out fresh vegetables, juicy chickens and pork and native salts thereby cutting down the expenses of shipping and packaging along with a reduction in carbon and plastic wastes.”
